NO MORE SKETCHY SITES.
Copy a YouTube link. YtDown grabs it. Sits in your tray, watches your clipboard, downloads in the background. MP3, MP4, whatever you need.
What it does
Clipboard listener
Copy any YouTube link and it starts downloading automatically. No window to open, no button to click.
MP3, MP4 and more
MP3, MP4, WebM, Opus, AAC. Set a default format and override per-download from the tray.
Sorted automatically
Audio and video go into separate subfolders. Thumbnails embedded. Channel prefix optional.
Starts with Windows
Runs silently on boot. No console, no taskbar clutter. Just a tray icon when you need it.
Themed UI
Five themes. Settings panel that actually looks good. Custom toast notifications that match.
No account needed
No sign-in, no telemetry, no cloud. Everything stays on your machine.
How it works
01
Install and run
Run the installer. YtDown sets up in seconds and sits in your system tray.
02
Pick your defaults
Open settings with Ctrl+Shift+Y. Set your format, quality, and folder once.
03
Copy any YouTube link
YtDown detects it instantly and starts downloading. A toast tells you when it's done.
